In this role you will support HR, University of Farmers, Procurement, and the Legal departments working with business contacts, internal IT colleagues, Zurich Shared Service colleagues, and vendors in support of new and existing software at Farmers. Our department handles IT requests that range from operational tasks that can be resolved in a day to supporting large projects that span years. This role will require you fulfill various roles ranging from business analyst, project manager, technical SME/IT consultant, technical writer, product owner, and low-code application developer. You will need to evaluate projects and tasks that are assigned and determine what tasks are needed, and who can assist in completing those tasks. We are looking for someone to develop expertise in a variety of areas, and also take ownership of every project/task assigned regardless of the team support. We are looking for someone who will find creative solutions to complex problems weighing cost, effort, and delivery times. You will engage with various IT teams for support, but be asked to critically evaluate solutions other teams provide to ensure any issues or outliers are thought through and mitigated. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to achieve results consistently and at a high level, even with vague requests. The ideal candidate will be intellectually curious, willing to be hands-on, very detail oriented, and be comfortable handling many tasks/projects simultaneously and ensure that we are delivering excellent results as quickly as possible. Provides expertise in the design and functionality of business applications; Understands customers’ business processes and products and how best they can be supported by the application systems; Reviews and validates the detailed technical design for business applications provided by the supplier to ensure alignment with business requirements; Performs quality review checks on project deliverables; Validates suppliers estimates; Performs impact analysis of application changes across various components, holding an end-to-end view of the system; Estimates Rough Order of Magnitude for the level of effort/cost of new application functionality; Specifies / recommends integration and parallel testing criteria; Supports the implementation activities, troubleshooting system environmental issues, as required.
Essential Job Functions

High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent, relevant experience.
Level II: 4 years of experience in application development / testing or business / system analysis role or 2 year as an Application SME Level I.
Special Skill Requirement
Understands routine business conversations and letters and is able to communicate with few errors. May require occasional traveling – 5%Good written and oral skills in local language
